    MP301 and printing checks

Just sold a 301 to this guy and he is wanting to print checks, no problem except his are 3 up per page (8.5x11). He prints one, tears it off and now has about 2/3 of a page, how can he run another check and if he does he will tear it off and be down to one check (8.5x3.5) how does he run that single check as well?
I told him to get new checks, one per sheet.
    Any suggestions?

Im far from a Ricoh guru but i have lots of MP301's and 201's. Those things jam when the paper size is incorrect. Maybe if you entered a custom paper size but that would be a nightmare to setup for each check. Unless there is a way to shut off the paper length detection in the bypass i think you are screwed.

Also when it gets to 1 check i doubt the length would be there to make it from roller to roller in the transport so it will probably jam any ways.
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Ricoh machines have a setting in "printer settings, systems, that allows you to use the "driver command" as a setting for the bypass. No need to adjust any size setting at the machine. As long as the size is inputted correctly on the driver the machine will send it through. In the case of this customer I would set up 2 customized settings for the other non stander sizes. Use the PCL6 driver.

        Good luck..
