    Ricoh Aficio MP 6500

Hello, two months ago, I put a new hot roller and a new pressure roller, but I have a problem. My machine is operating normally two to three days, then wrap the paper around the pressure roller cleaners, I clean it, return it back again like two to three days of normal and again the same thing. What could be causing this? It is a machine Ricoh Aficio MP 6500

...sounds like someone left the lid open whilst making copies!....too much toner too close to the edge of the copies makes the paper stick to the hot roller and then transfer to the cleaning roller! The paper sticks so tight, the hot roller stripper pawls can't remove it! I have had this happen in schools....teachers don't think! Best thing for you to do is make sure your cleaning web is advancing properly (if this machine has a fuser cleaning web!) and increase the non-print area around the edge of the document--done in the SP settings...can't remember the exact one. The machines I did it on, the maximum was 9mm and I maxxed it out!

    Good Luck!

Can I solve the problem through the driver? To set Maximum Printable Area? Paper wrapped around the cleaning roller and so froze around it. Can this be a possible solution?

I am not aware of that type of setting in the print driver!....is the customer trying to do an "edge to edge" full coverage print???

The non-print area which is set in the sp settings is good for copy and print!

Also check your cleaning web feed rate....you might need to increase the amount to keep your hot roller well lubricated!

PS--just remember I had to modify the non-printing area at a school where teachers don't have enough sense to NOT make copies of dark originals...and when they do put an item on the glass, they leave the document lid up, thus producing a copy with dark/heavy toner around the edges due to light leakage!!!

realtor office had same problem run full bleed so we end up making them run letter r long way through copier it leave a image void at top of copy and not stick to roller.

Unless I'm missing something here, the OP mentioned the paper was wrapping around the PRESSURE ROLLER cleaner, and the advise given has been for paper sticking to the HOT ROLLER which would be a different issue.

It is rare but when printing duplex I have seen where a heavy black bar across the trail edge on the first side printed sticks to the pressure roller as it is now the lead edge on the back when the second side is fused.

In that case can the OP clarify if this is happening during duplexing or simplex copying, as he does not make this clarification.

Is the toner being used in that machine original Ricoh toner? Good luck fixing that problem if not.
