I think it "is what it is"!

    So for "reference":

So what EXACT feature is it that the customer wants from this "version" difference???

Did you mean to say "version" instead of "class" in the thread title???

Let's have a "point of reference" in this discussion in regards to the objective!

No way to change the tiff version at the MFP.

If they need version 6, they can use Irfanview to change it.

Not sure if Irfanview has a batch mode to change more than one at a time, but I'm sure that some software can.

I had this happen a few years back, where the customer needed version 6, I think it was for their document management system, not sure. Irfanview worked for them, but they didn't do any high volume scanning, either.

There are tons of posts on CTN for naming the files, please search for them, or consult the user manual.

I have used Irfanview before!...I think I used it to batch process a bunch of jpeg files to create thumbnail previews! This would probably be the BEST option for the OP to use! It's FREE and it just works!...you just have to create the workflow correctly!

Careful, it's only free for private use, not commercial. (I thought it was freeware, too, until this was pointed out to me.)

The good news is that the commercial cost is quite low. Something like $12.00 USD per copy, but please don't hold me to that.

Here is the page that explains it: IrfanView EULA

Line 1b states that it is not free for business use.
