    Sp 7855 on C5503

Can someone tell me exactly what a "coverage color threshold " is? These values can be adjusted with 7855-001 and 7855-002. Simply, what exactly is being adjusted? Kyocera Mita has come up with a program with 3 tier system for billing color images that is kicking our ass in the sales field, so actual coverage numbers per individual color are all the rage at the moment.

It might be an advantage of other brands that the machine calculates how much of which color toner has been used.
So it's a fair payment system.
But I don't know if the sp mode you mentioned is helping you with this calculation.
Was this payment system the purpose of your tread?

It's a 3 tier system but each tier is basically how much toner is used, its not per color.

At the default 5% coverage or less is considered color 1, 5% - 20% coverage is color 2 and >20% coverage is color 3.

By adjusting 7855-001 and 7855-002 you can change what constitutes a color 1, 2 and 3.

If you set 5-045 to 2 or 7 the counter sheet lists the breakdown of color 1,2 and 3.
