MPC2551 doc feed runs at slow speed when copying

Set to normal defaults: black and white, text/photo, single sided but it runs at slow speed as if copying full color.
in scanner mode it runs normal speed as it should.

I couldn't find any settings in user tools or sp that looked related.
anyone know where the setting is?

    thanks

Boy, I hope someone knows the answer to copyactions question. I have a c5502 that is doing the same thing, and all settings on the non-default data are identical to their other c5502's, as well as scan settings.

Scan speed is always faster than copy.

Yes of course it is and that has nothing to do with the issue here, I was merely pointing that out to show it runs normal black and white speed while scanning but not while copying.
        do you have a solution?

Only thing I can think of would be some thing having to do with memory and diferent data paths for scan function and copy function. Try clearing the following memory items:
          SP 5801-003 System Control Service
          SP 5801-004 IMH
          SP 5801-005 MCS
SP 5801-006 Copy Application (This will also clear any changes that have been made to the default copy settings)

There are some dipswitches on the ADF main board, underneath the rear cover of the ADF.
            Are there positions correct?

Unless the output speed is not reduced below specs for some wicked reason I'd say it might be "normal" or does other machines of same type behave different?
Specs for DF feed performance always says "up to x pages/minute" - telling this is usually my key to get off the hook here^^

I agree this might has something to do with data processing/caching - perhaps also HDD r/w performance issues.

                tried all those, no luck

                formatted hdd, no luck

swapped entire document feeder, no luck
