Re: Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
Have you removed the rear panel?
If yes, what have you done there?

Or something is blocking the door to be fully closed, keep it simple!
As a junior I also would panic a little bit in such cases, but staying "cool" was/is/and will always be the best way in such cases.
Have a cop of herbes-thee and think of something good for a short while, than the answer will pop up automatically...
Or perhaps not (you still have us...)
I really appreciate your valuable response.
I tried swalling the switches with a new one.
The result is not impressive.
The error still exists.
So. Im planning to try something which you people will suggest.
Again, im really thankful to you all.
Im thinking of shorting the switches.
Suggestions any?Leave a comment:

No, firmware will not solve your issues. You have jams showing that won't be cleared until you fix the front cover open issue. Jams don't clear until the machine sees that all the covers are closed. Zeldman told you to try new door switches in the first answer to your initial post.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
They are the same as before when the machine was operational.
Thanks.
Im trying the switch method suggested by others. Will update with the results.
I believe that not enough literature is available to deal with this issue of false jam error. So, im hoping to find a way to get this working.
Also, please suggest any novel ways if you had come across such a issue.
Update : machine also says that even the front cover is open.
So, paper jam and front cover open. These are the issues im dealing with as of now.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
You write: " issues with cyan printing too much dark "
Did you do any other adjustments in SP mode then those for the replaced parts?
Perhaps "threshold level cyan" or something?Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
Not surprising that there's no info on this, because, obviously the issue was caused by something you did, which ALWAYS makes troubleshooting from a distance more difficult, so what exactly did you do?Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
As mentioned earlier, the unit never had a finisher installed to it.
Thanks for pointing towards the switches. Will look at it soon.
Could firmaware also mess with this?Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
Does the machine have a bridge unit attached? SC792 is the machine not detecting the finisher with the bridge installed. The switches, two on the bridge unit and one on the duplex unit, are notoriously flaky. AW50 0023.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
Zeldaman, thanks for the advice. I shall try that out.
Id like to ask you to advise me as to how switches and jamming are related. Please dont be offended as im willing to know as to what really caused this jam.Leave a comment:

Jamming issue MPC2000 (a, b, c, d, z)
Hello all.
Im dealing with a Mpc2000 which has 45k black and 33k color copies.
The machine had some issues with cyan printing too much dark. I replaced the worn out parts and turned the machine on.
To my surprise it started throwing weird errors.
All the toners are Oem.
SC 792 also flashes in the back.
Note. The machine never had a finisher installed, yetit threw this error after this service.
I went through all the ricoh related posts in this forum, and performed cleaning as well.
Please suggest any measures in dealing with this case.
Any kind of advise is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
