Only thing i could find on a 637 was this thread. Called my regional Ricoh tech support rep and its all he could find. Then I searched the knowledge base and nothing came up for the 5502 but when I remembered this thread was for the 4504 I searched that and came up with this.

[User Tools -> ([Machine Features]) -> [System settings] -> [Administrator Tools] -> [Enhanced Print Volume Use Limitation] -> [Tracking Permission] to OFF

seems to be working. wish i would've found this earlier. would've saved me 8 hours at the machine.

    steps I had taken
    -Upgraded FW
    -Upgraded Java
    -Reformatted the HDD
-Ran all5801's until I finally did a clear all
-waited for Ricoh tech support to call me back last week (HA! yeah right)

    THANK YOU !!!!

Need to have admin auth enabled with password to be able to disable the above setting

Just want to thank all involved in this thread!

Had the same symptoms on an IM2702 today - and guess what? No info anywhere from Ricoh!

Found this thread and switched off the tracking as advised, and the machine is running like new!

Thank you thank you one and all!
