[Electrical] MP 301 random characters when pressing keypad

I have a problem with MP 301. Buttons suddenly not working as they should. It concerns only the right panel with keypad. For example start button causes sleep mode, counter key causes "fax mode", when I press "C" the result is a string for example "6#". Each key causes every time something else. I have uploaded the latest firmware but it did not help. The printer is working properly, but I can't use copy & scan functions. Mechanically panel looks OK. Machine has only 50k, and it's 2 weeks after the warranty.

There is a custom ops panel firmware that deals with strange things like this, it's on my-ricoh.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

We had a MP401, which I think has a similar OP panel, do the exact same thing. Especially the going to sleep when you hit start. We ended up replacing the two PCBs in the op panel that make up the left and right side buttons, you probably would only need the right side one.

I found it in parts catalog, it's called "PCB:UWVGA:OP-R:ASS'Y ". I order it from Ricoh. There is temporary firmware for panel on my-ricoh (D1271450 D1271451) but i haven't tested it yet. Solves problem with waking up.
