    Select 1sided to 2 sided for that blank yellow box on your customization screen.
    then make sure not of them are selected on your copy home screen and set as default

      Is it just me or is this guy overthinking the situation

      Just put your single sided document in the document feeder or glass and press the green button

        also on another note

        if you go into user tools then hold down the # key and press copy/document server it will ask you would you like to default all options which you would select yes

        then the copy screen will be default as if it just got turned on for the first time

          So what's the problem, when I put a document in the feeder with more than one page, even without being selected in the panel for the copy to be duplex, the machine takes the copy in duplex. If I go in the configuration of the machine in copy / document server and disable the option duplex the button to start the copy is disabled, it is in red!

            In all the machines that I have worked on, this is the default of the duplex options are not activated in the panel, the copy would have for logic being 1 to 1. But what is happening in this machine and that even if all the duplex options are Disabled the result of the copies leave in duplex!

              If thats the case what I would do first

              as mentioned above user tools, then hold down the # key and select copier/document server and revert everything back to factory

              if that doesn't work, ram clear the the copier in service mode and see what happens

                I already did that, and I still have the same problem. I'm inclined to believe that she has a problem with her SO. The bad and that she is not accepting a command to reset the factory.

                  Have you tried memory clearing the copier app in SP modes?
                  It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                          This is getting frustrating, because I truly don't think you're understanding what we've all been trying so hard to explain.
                          I'll try one last time:
                          Whether you like it or not, the machine is set in DUPLEX mode, there is no 1 to 1 mode (per say). You need to DISABLE the duplex mode which is turned on - but hidden. This will produce 1 to 1 copies.
                          On the screenshot you provided before (edited below), you need to touch the button I've circled (duplex). It will move to the yellow box above it (notice that the other 3 boxes that are shown are the 3 that already appear on your home screen)
                          Press ok, and then you'll see on it the home screen hi-lighted (enabled). If you de-select it, you will get your 1 to 1 copies. Once De-selected, follow the steps given above to "program as the default"

                              It is very strange. The screen settings are correct.
                              I don't think it's been suggested yet.... reloading/ updating all the firmware would be my next step, and outside of that, I'm fresh out of ideas

                                Looking at your video, I noticed that there is a small yellow up arrow at the bottom of the Dup/Combine button at the bottom of the screen. This means that there is something set there. That is where your problem is.
