[Misc] MP C2050 How does customer know it's time for maintenance?

I'm not familiar with this machine- and never bothered with other Ricoh's. The user manual does not mention it.
Does a wrench symbol come up and a replace PCU, Waste Container; et. What is the alarm or display?

    Thanks.

    Hi

Most models can be set to alert the customer of needed maintenance i.e. PCU. It is however just a flashing message. This is counter based.

When the spanner comes up - it normally indicates a malfunction or breakdown that needs a technician to repair it. It will also indicate the breakdown or malfunction with a code, that will point the technician in the direction of the breakdown or failure.

There is also a setting in WIM for sending an email.

The maintenance can be based on PM tables which can be found on Ricoh localweb for each model.
Mostely, parts exceeds this PM lifetime.

If I remember correctly the K drum on this has a 60k rated life, color drums and all developers have a life but the support guide just says to run them till they die, same for the fuser and ITB belt. The ITB cleaner is rated for 180k I think but the waste tank attached to it is only rated to 60k, some for the waste tank in front of the drum units.

Once the "paper" PM counter reaches 60k it should start saying PM Call in the lower left corner of the OP panel. Having said that either most of the machines we have in the field have either had the alarm turned off, or it comes turned off from the factory as I've yet to have one show up.
