Hi All,
I've tried setting up a client to scan to SMB today on a AF2022. the destination is a shared folder called data.
I've typed in the path \\server\data via the control panel and then did a browse network to see if the copier could see the path. the copier was able to see the path however i got a message indicating that it could not login with the username and password.
I then asked one the staff to come and type in their username and password and it failed. I tried this with 2 different staff and neither worked. These staff are actually logged onto their PC's and able to access that data share.
I then created a new user in AD called scanner and gave it a password. I gave the scanner user full control in permissions and security tabs of the share (as well as the everyone group which Scanner should be a member of).
I still could not login. I tried domain\username as well as username@domain and nothing worked.
I tried just putting the name of the server in the path field and did a browse and it seems like i dont have access to the root location of the server, thus it wont let me browse to the data folder.
If anyone has any ideas that i could try, it would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
Kind Regards,
Steve
