Ricoh MP2852 blank pages

[OMG]

Machine was having print quality issues so we ordered a new drum/developer unit. Machine prints blank pages with new unit.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You need a developer type 28.

when you remove seals one should had been about 18 inch long maybe it broke off sometimes that happens. also look at back of pcu should see a coupling on mag gear looks kind of grey. try printing counter report in user tools that is an internal print from copier if it prints then optics problem. check to see what you bought includes developer powder.

That wouldn't make for blank pages, poor copy quality maybe, but there would still be some sort of output.

Call the place where you ordered this new drum unit from and ask if it came with developer installed. If not get some and install it. If it did then you may want to exchange it for another one.

it never comes with developer in it, you have to put it in, as zeldaman already sad.

The dev drive coupling is visible in the picture. Since they ordered a complete unit it should still have the gears inside. My bet is as Zeldaman said, no developer.

Your gonna screw up a new PCU assy if you dont know what your doing call a tech, 2 cents worth

Could have also had someone who knows better get you a type 1027 pcu which includes dev, and would have cost a lot less in the end
