    MP 301

    Morning everyone.
I'm preparing to head out to an account comma and the customer is describing situation I have not come across before. I'm hoping to pick some brains before I get there.
They have an MP 301 that is sending every fax 5 times.
They say it has been happening for the last 2 weeks. Their customers are calling them and and letting them know that and letting them know that they are receiving the same fax 5 times.
I've never heard of such a thing occurring before. Has anybody experienced this?

The technical bulletin refers to email notifications period that is not what my customer is experiencing. When they send a fax the person they're sending the fax to will receive the fax five separate times. This is occurring with every single person that they send a fax to.

I would start with clearing the fax application and reinitializing the SRAM.

Thanks for the help everyone. Turns out that the customer is experiencing some kind of phone problem. It is a County School System with multiple locations all experiencing the same problem starting at the same time. About two weeks ago they were doing some testing on their phone system, and that is when the problem began.

There's always an explanation for these type of things, and its never the copier!
