Custom print driver blocked by Microsoft Security patch

We have a customer who deals in health insurance and about a year ago we installed a custom print driver using Ricoh's Print Driver Editor software. The driver was working fine up until about 6 months ago when according to the customers IT that a Microsoft Security patch is interfering with new installations of this driver. According to their IT people it didn't affect anybody who already had the driver installed previously, it's only in cases of installing a new copier where it's being blocked.

Customer's IT is using Group Policy to push out the print drivers. They've said they have been doing research for the past 6 months and have found some articles online but nothing has fixed this issue. They've also gone one by one uninstalling the security patches which they said did work one time but hasn't be able to work again.

Anybody out there run into this problem at all?

Customizing the driver breaks the Microsoft Certification. The latest editor package my preserve the certification but the old tool definately broke it. Try creating a new custom driver with PDP NX.
