Ricoh SP C 242SF has Scanner Carriage Lock on the display

Can't seem to get it to clear. Went into User Tools and there is a way to lock it from System Settings. But there is no way to unlock it. Even if i do a Factory reset from the service mode it does not help. Any help appreciated!

Only thing I could find was on service manual 4-91

Push the lock button [E] and slide the scanner unit to the rear side. The button should be on the left side of printer just under adf.

Haven't worked on it, but hope it helps.

Hey thanks but I think that must have been for a different model, this machine does not have a physical lock mechanism. It actually can be locked from the user tools electronically. But thee is not way to chose to unlock it. Must be that when it is powered up it unlocks it automatically.
