MPC3002 ARDF misfeeds but only on Scan to Folder?

Hi All.. Please tell me i'm not crazy? refurbed machine MPC3002 + DF3060 (no finisher or bridge unit) , All firmware latest, Showing customer how to use and the strangest thing happens..
Copying all ok through DF,, Faxing all ok through DF,, Scan to Folder single page misfeeds! Long edge feed,, has worked once or twice on short edge feed. Can connect ok to folder.
Have tested all the size sensors and table sensors in SP and all are nicely switching between states ok. Ran stacks of pages through ADF free run ok also.
Has anyone ever come across this please? what am i missing? The paper has gone most of the way in and has passed over the exposure glass guide if this helps.

    Cheers

I can't find the specs to confirm it but I suspect the DF runs slightly faster when doing scan to email/folder. This definitely is a problem on the MP 7502 range, works OK in photocopy but plays merry hell in scan when it runs slightly faster.
As a test to confirm that this is the problem try increasing the DPI setting as this slows the scan speed down. Also setting the DF to mixed sizes also slows it down.
If this theory proves correct (which most of mine don't!) the first thing I would be changing is the clutches.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

      Hi there!
Had this problem once, but also when copying a lot of originals: sensor AW010109 was faulty.
Fw had to be D5785300B, and in the RTB RD578003 they mention a blur in a guide-plate. Hope this helps.
      Greetings...

Thanks Lagonda. Switched from 200 to 400dpi and saved as default and works like a treat. Gonna have to leave the clutch for now as they won't be happy to have received a so called "new" refurbed machine that needs parts on first day of ownership :-(
Never knew by default scan to folder feeds through at a slightly faster speed than copying or faxing etc etc

        Cheers

Try adf adjustment sp mode 7002 I believe for skew correction sensor. I had the same problem where scans would jam at the skew sensor but copy was fine. The skew correction had to be reduced to accommodate the faster speed of scanning. Called ricoh tech support for this issue and we walked through it together. Hope that helps.
