I just bought a Ricoh 4002 which has only 24k copies on its meter. The machine initially has been set up for copying, fax and scan only. It has network card installed but never used. It seems that is has not been programmed for printing. I tried to hook up with my computer and installed the IP address. My computer's control panel shows that the machine is on but when I try to print a test page it does not print anything. The machine's menu does not list printer option. Does it have a Printer function button on the control panel? If it does not you will need Printer/Scanner Unit Type 5002 EDP code 416140. If th e button is there check SP 5985-001. It must be 1 to enable network printing and scanning.
The NCS configuration page does not tell you if an option is installed. Print SP 5990-005 to see what options are install and what firmware they are at.
