Ricoh MP C4500: how to align CMYK

    Hello,

First post, account created on purpose.
I seek advice on the following problem.

    I fixed a C990 with 58321, 5846-50 and 5853,
the error code is gone, but the colour prints are
now out of focus: the CMY colours are not printed
on the same spot of the K (annex 1).

I did an Auto Color Calibration[1], it completed
without error, but the print test shows a 1mm/2mm
    offset of CMY (annex 2).

I also adjusted the color calibration, but it failed with
error: "impossible to execute color calibration".

The service manual (B291/B295/B296/B297) does not help.

SP5990-6 shows non-default data for magnification,
TD adjustment, Vtcnt and Vtref. I edited them back
to default values without noticeable effect.

    Help!

If running Auto Color Registration in User Tools fails, then the settings are far enough off that auto adjustment cannot work. Either that or the ID sensor is extremely dirty. Sounds like someone may have ran memory all clear SP 5801-001. If you do not have the birth certificate, you are going to have to do a manual correction of line position. See SP 2182. After each manual change try running forced line position SP 2011-003 followed by SP 2011-001. If an error occurs, you are still not close enough on the manual changes.

        Solution:

        2182-10 +2
        2111-c
        user calibration (auto)
        user adjustment (auto)

The machine was smart enough to change its own parameters
        under 1801, 2102, 2117, 2182, 2185, 3222 and 3223.

        Thank you!!!
