    MPC 3002 dark vertical bands

Hello guys, I was googling and thank god found this nice place.

The problem is that our MPC 3002 began to show dark vertical bands in the halftones and these bands repeats every 125mm (4.92 inches) and it happens in all colors at same time.

The dark bands are about 3mm (0.12 inch) width and 305mm (12 inch) verticaly heigh.

Does anyone have any idea where I can start investigating?

    Thank you.

What you are seeing are the ID patches made during process control. ITB cleaning unit needs to be replaced.

Indeed. If the ITB cleaning unit is kaput, more than likely it'll need a black PCU too. Can you post an SMC so we can look at the PM counters?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

The machine actually has 178.919 clicks for Black and 53.598 clicks for color.

Performed a test stopping the machine during printing a halftone (50C 50M 50Y 50K) and not see any bands printed on the ITB. Should I see?

I attached a pic to you (yes there are another bands, but these new ones are really much more annoying).
