    Ricoh CL7000 BCU - #G080 5053

I am in search of a new or used BCU for a Ricoh Aficio CL 7000. Part No. is G080 5053. Anybody know of a source other than Ricoh that I might try?

UPDATE! The part I am needing is "1407 5751". It is the small 8 pronged IC on the BCU. Anybody know where I can get one?

That would be the NVRAM. I get the distinct impression from Ricoh that they are partially programmed with critical information for the specific model the chip is installed in. So, just purchasing a blank chip from another source might be problematic.

Other than direct from Ricoh, possibly from another dealer.

Correct - you need to get the NVRam from Ricoh for this machine, or from a scrap machine of the exact same model. You will have to reprogram the Serial Number as it is part of the counterfit protection system and the machine will not function if the numbers don't match the rest of the machine.
