Hi, All. I just had to remove the staple/exit assembly from a 3160 finisher and work on the side guides to get it to function correctly. First question is, do you guys have constant problems with this finisher? The assembly I pulled out is very cheap and cheesy, and I'm surprised it works at all (and it's a pain to remove).
My second question is this: I had to remove the feeler arm (the one that rests on the shift tray) completely because of intermittent "remove paper from finisher exit tray" indications. I had no issues after I took it off, but am I going to run into problems running the finisher with the arm off?
Sigh. It seems like the equipment quality keeps getting worse.
