Ricoh MP C6503 add staples

Good day folks, I have a customer with a ricoh mp c6503 that's giving the message staples, the thing is the staple cartridge is loaded with staples.
I have taken the cartridge out and inspected it, it has no jammed staples, and the unit does not appeared to be jammed. It seem to be moving freely.
I am a bit puzzled as to what seem to be the problem. Its a booklet staple finisher SR4120/SR4130 D3CG/D3CH.

Have you tried a complete, brand new cartridge? They do wear out after a while. Also could be the customer has been a bit forceful fitting a cartridge and damaged the staple head.

Did you install a new Staple Set Cartridge order code 415009 or only a new Staple Refill Cartridge order code 514010. If it wasn't the Staple Set Cartridge, order one and replace it.

There are 2 micro switches in the staple head that determine if staples are present and ready to use. One is activated by a lever in the staple head when the staples senses when first staple is in the staple position. the other is activated by a small black lever in the bottom of the Set Cartridge that detects the trail edge of the last staple sheet leaving the refill cartridge.

Could be the harness that runs from the stapler to the main board. 03 models seem to wear out the cable over time. Do a continuity check with a multi meter on each wire or you might be able to see the break

Its a booklet staple finisher-Have you checked the 2 booklet staple cartridges??????????
