    MP 2501 fax Comm Result

Have an MP 2501, which was storing to print the Communication result report and the Immediate TX result report. I could go into reports "stored" and print manually.
Client now wants reports printed automatically ( without storing) I set the user parameters SW 3 bit 0 to on and bit 5 to on ( Auto printing ) And I got the "storing" of the
reports turned off. But now it does not store or print the result for memory send or immediate transmissions.

I set the user parameters the same as on another 2501, still not printing the result report. I noticed switch 11, bit 6 stays on 1. It will not change to 0.
The user parameter list and the parameter settings instructions do not list the function of this bit.

If I do a memory clear for the fax only, will this reset the user parameters back to factory default ?

Not sure if doing a fax memory clear will reset the bit switches, most likely.

Make sure you take note of any settings, such as fax forward, stored special destinations, own fax number, etc.

What you could try first is, go to User Tools, hold the # key, and press Fascimile Features. This will do a user settings reset to default.

Then check the parameters, if they haven't changed, do a SP memory clear on fax program.

Transmission result page is only printed for memory send. It is not printed for On Hook dialed faxes.

Memory clear For the fax only was the fix. Thanks.

Fax name, number, and even (folder) forwarding destination was all still intact after the clear.
