    MP7503 Tandem Tray

    tandem tray issue
Has anyone had an issue with right side tandem tray not going down when paper runs out? If you let the right side tray go up with no paper on it and then pull the tray out it barely moves down. I did replace the damper on the rear side and it didn't help. This is a brand new install. It drives the customer crazy because when it does run out of paper it doesn't get down quick enough and the left side wont push the paper over. Any ideas?

checked to see if the front and back metal guide plates may be bowed in the middle. This is unusual in a new install but very common in a model that has been in use for a while. A quck, gentle little nudge usually works to reform them.

      Hi there!
Had this issue once, & the problem was not the "speed" of the downgoing plate. The sensor which indicates the plate is completly down was blocked by a very tiny piece of paper. Therefore the paper from the left came under the plate (what a mess!). After clearing/cleaning the sensor all was good.
      Greetings...

I had one with a broken bushing holder that holds the pulley at the left feeding table, thus braking a part of the bottom plate mechanism at the right.
But... it was a few years ago, and I can't remember what part exactly it was...
What I do know is that it's a weak unit, parts are breaking quickly.
I have it looked up for you:
