Ricoh MP C3502 web interface "403 Forbidden"

Picked up an off lease MP c3502 for refurb sale. Everything looks / works great except when logging on to the Web interface, it comes up "403 Forbidden". This comes up using Chrome, IE, or Mozilla.
Have had authentication fail, but never this.

    Any help....ideas, Thanks

Ive had this happen when ssl is enabled. Try typing https: manually. Not sure if this helps.

I just noticed in System settings / Administrator tools, the Network security is set to "custom". when I try to change it, I do not have authority. When trying to login on the machine keypad, it just beeps, no login prompt.

Saw some other threads related to this. I did a 143 sp 5846-46 clear, still the same. And does not print. I can scan to folder though !

It appears there are network use parameters set up. I can change the IP, etc no problem.

Saw another prior post , this has to do with access control range. I will set up a laptop with crossover and attempt to enter the Web Interface

between your help and previous threads, SUCCESS !!

Print out the current network settings on the Ricoh. Shows access control ranges. ( IP's )

used a laptop, and crossover cable. Configure your IPV4 connections on the laptop (manual settings) to within the access control range on the print out.
set the ricoh to an IP in that same range.
( Set a gateway, same on both, not important for the crossover connection)

use Internet explorer to enter IP in address bar, admin no password, in the interface ! configure / access control ranges to 0.0.0.0 ( default)
