MP C4501 not waking up

Hello

I have an MP C4501 that is refusing to wake up after going to sleep...

First thing I did was update firmware, which made no difference.

Then I replaced the control panel, checked connections to control panel and BCU etc.. but still no joy.

Anyone have any suggestions before I try BCU ?

Could it be power supply perhaps?

Assuming you have updated the PowerSaving Sys to F.19, try disabling STR (Suspend-to-RAM), cycle the power off / on and give it a test.

What is the reasoning behind this causing a problem?

STR has been known to be a little bit temperamental on some Ricoh controllers depending on the peripheral configuration.
Sometimes a firmware update can fix it, but the workaround is just to disable the feature which is enabled by default.
