Printer Tray Selection Issue - Ricoh Aficio MP C3002

    Hi Guys,

As in the title, when I try to print from the Mac to a Ricoh Aficio MP C3002 it defaults to Tray 3 and even when I change the tray in Media & Quality it still just goes to tray 3.

I have tried resetting the print system and also removing printer drivers.

    I am using
    an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.5.

Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Sami

    Sami,

Many times the default tray has to do with the print application defaults (not the printer - Ricoh in this case)
What software ( word) or application (adobe reader) ? check their defaults

You could also try changing the preferences in CUPS. It's a Unix based spooler new Mac OS use. There are plenty of videos and instructions if you google it.

Default tray setting on a Ricoh MFP only comes into play when there are two or more trays with the same size paper and the job is set to auto paper select.
