[Misc] Ricoh SP9100dn Hardware error tray 2

Hi Guys, I have an intermittant fault on the SP9100dn, showing hardware error tray 2, printer is working on tray 1 & 3, I have seen this before on tray 1 when the paper was overloaded preventing the tray from lifting to the correct position the cure then was to remove some paper and power off & on, but I can't find any info for tray 2.

did you run tray motors in SP mode?

Hi Phil, as I said a moment ago, I'll try it on Friday, but thinking about it, this is intermittant sometimes it works.

it can be intermittent if the motor is dying. I was plagued by the same issue on a color 435?

Hi Guys.
Factory to noisy to hear anything in diagnostics, so I jumped in and swapped Tray 1 & 2 lift motors, I'm still getting intermitant tray 2 Hardware error, I'm about to escalate it to Ricoh Tech for there idea's.
