    c2003 beeping noise from black pcu drive

    When sp5804-136 (pcu black drive) is activiated (without pcdu black in machine) it is beeping.
    The machine has 150K and is located in an office at normal conditions.
    Disasemble the drive unit (to lubricate) is not so evident at first side...
    Have you had this problem before?

      As the K PCDU has a rated life of 60k, the lube bar is probably shot, replace that first. The squeak could be coming from the ITB cleaning unit.
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                      Are you sure that it is not an alarm signal coming from the speaker because the PCDU is not installed?

                          Slim: i used the term "beeping" because in my view "sqeaking" is a sound which is more like a continues craking noise, in fact a noise which - when it is not solved - will end up in defective parts. Beeping noise wil not end up in defective parts, although it's sound is continuesly...
                          Do i make myself clear?
                          So, it is not beeping like when a pcdu is not in the machine while all covers are closed and the machine is on... (because that is what you mean)

                          I think it will be a lot of work to solve this.
                          I understand although that you folks didn't have this problem before?

                                  There is no pcdu, fusing- or transfer unit in the machine, and when put on sp5804-136 to on it beeps...
                                  even with a swapped entire drive unit and K transfer motor...

                                  Could it be this toner hopper is activated when sp5804-136 is active?

                                      The waste system is also run by that motor, could be one of the recycling coils is binding.

                                          It took me about 12 ours to find that out !!!
                                          Why isn't that mentioned in the System maintenance manual?
                                          It just says: "                                          sp5804 is driving the pcdu & ITB" But did not mentioned the toner recycling system !!!!!!!

                                              Sorry: not toner recycling, toner disposable system...
                                              Has anyone the procedure how to replace this unit?
