MP2000L nic card not getting ip

Ladies & gents I have a MP2000L brand spanking new. I plug the ethernet cable from a working jack cannot get a dhcp address, the mfp would not let me enter a static address. So I changed the patch cable same results I am getting a solid green light at the nic led status.

Am I missing something here? There is no SP modes to turn on ethernet either the machine is just a copier and scanning option thats it.

To enable nic card set SP: 5.828 to 1, next, install DDST driver from your CD autorun after instalation completed. alter the printer port from 9100 to 10001 thats it

I thought the NIC was already enabled since when plugging in the patch cable I am getting a solid green light.

          wouldnt grab an ip

so then I thought turn it off and manually assign one no luck either wont even accept the changes but like I said I still get green solid light when ethernet patch cable is plugged in only

You only have a USB working port, NIC is disabled no the L version, in order to use NIC version the machine must be a LN.

              ??????????

Ok just wanted to update this post. Guys I appreciate all of your help but none of them applied. L version uses GW nic DDST which is enabled from the factory.

The sp mode someone mentioned was not even a selection on this unit.

All I ended up doing was memory clear plug the patch cable and the machine picked up a dhcp address which I used to log into the machine and change it to a static address. Installed the DDST twain driver and DDST print driver everything working normal.
