[Misc] MP C307 & El Capitan - Intermittent printing issues

Have an MP C307 installed at a realtors office, one particular user on El Capitan has intermittent issues printing to the machine after leaving and returning to the office. We have updated machine FW, completely blown out everything (reset printing system, deleted all ricoh files etc), made sure all OS software up to date on the Mac and reinstalled the driver (when we do this it works great for a week or two and then have issues again). All Mac shop, so its clearly something with this particular Mac.

Customer gets error messages such as, Remote host did not accept data file (32), or the printer is not responding. Per customer, reboot of the copier usually corrects the issue and jobs start printing, but not always.

    Configured as LPD.

Think we have hit all the boxes on troubleshooting this, if anyone has any suggestions they would be much welcomed.

    Thanks!

Is there a way he could temporary print through another computer that stays there all the time just to see if that works. I would say he needs to take to a apple computer shop and explain what is going on with it and see if they can resolve it.

I have seen similar before with a bad switch. Customer said it would quit printing. They would cycle power and everything in the queue would print. We replaced everything on the MFP that had to do with the network. They swapped it with another and the problem stayed with the location. They rep[aced a 32 port switch and no more problem.

As you write in your post, I am sure you have checked these things but we all miss things at times.

Are you using the default Clone ps/pdf or have you installed PS3?

Have you updated the Irips PDF to 1.07, I know our Ricoh Uk helpdesk advise you to ensure this is done as the Clone PDF/PS seems to be being developed in the field.

Also, I would make sure the IRIPS Font is on the latest version 1.13

Which driver are they using and has for the postscript box (In the accessories tab) emulated postscript if Clone or Adobe Postscript if PS3 been selected? As again I have been told by our Technical support that sometimes the drivers get confused and try to use the wrong version. Which then with certain pdf's or fonts caused all sorts of chaos and issues with the printer.

Apologies if you have checked all of these but just what I have heard and learned when installing and servicing Mp C307's in the UK

Recently we encountered same issue, when printing, some pages will be printed then it will start again to print the first page. It was never ending loop, even you cancel/reset the print job the machine will still print the same document after sometime. Only thing you can do to stop the printing is to turn off the device and cancel print jobs from PC.

          Changed the router/switch and ok.

To isolate the problem you need to connect the machine directly to laptop/PC.
