    Ricoh Aficio 3030 cannot copy double side, shows duplex mode is in off position trays

    Ricoh Aficio 3030 cannot copy double side. When double side is selected on the display, the top display shows duplex
    mode is in off position with all trays. The duplex unit is already installed in the copier.
    Single side copy no problem and is working well.

      Read your user manual and turn it on
      user tools -- tray settings duplex on/off
      or to reset all settings to default
      user tools hold down # key and touch system settings

          Hi Elmo,
          No need to turn it on unless use computer to do printing. For photocoping we need only to press copy for 2 sided copy only. Normally for two sides photocopy when the duplex unit is installed in the copier when we select 2 sided copy the copier will not shows this error message on top of display. Anyway I try to to reset the copier
          and see.

              Tray settings - paper type I believe it is near the bottom right, duplex off.

                  Thanks, after resetting to factory default the machine can do duplex printing
