    [Jamming] Lanier LD533c Duplex Jamming

Hello. One of my costumer has a Lanier LD533c which is the same Ricoh MPC 2800. When doing duplex copies, the paper is printed in one side but is kept in the duplex unit and got error J009 Misfeed in area Z. Replaced the Open / Close Guide Plate that was broken. When checked SP7507 it says error code 009 (Duplex jam). SP7504 have 19 counts on code 9 (Duplex Unit) and 46 counts on code 26, Duplex Entrance On (In). Any advice?

The LD 528C is the same as the MP C2800. The C2800 and the C3300 are the same except for cyclic rate and a couple of boards.

In the Parts Catalog there are different numbers for boards. The part number for a replacement NVRAM is the same. In fact a number of different models use the same NVRAM.

The upper guide plate on the top side of the duplex unit, the one that is spring loaded, gets warped from the heat of the fuser. It bends into a roller shaft and obstructs the paper path. Check to see if it has warped, this is a common failure.

There is a bulletin out that addresses this issue.

We have the same error on the Ricoh MP 305+SP. If you choose a thick paper in the settings, then printing goes fine.

That is just circumventing the problem. It should also be duplexing when a normal paper weight is selected. Read the post about the warped guide. I have had to replace more than one of those on this model.
