Ricoh Aficio 2852SP D121 Controller board

Hi I have a dead copier, blue light only no rotation or warm-up when powering up. I've replaced the IPU already but looks like the controller board says it's a D1205757D which I can't find in Parts Catalog > Ricoh > D121 MP2852 > page 33

I do see D122 5750 (I also see D122 5720 D122 5740) and was wondering if that controller would be a cross compatible match? If not which would be?

i'm assuming you are running 120v, if so, per parts manual: D122 5741 PCB: CTL: ORV-C1: 28CPM

Have a look on the serial label. Above the serial number is a model code. It will point you in the right direction as far as boards go. Because there can be 3 or more models in a series and normally using the wrong board in the wrong machine will generate sc codes.

Both of you were much faster at replying then I expected from a printer that's nearly 8 years old.

Yes it's a 120v, D121-57 model specifically. Go figure I wasn't specific enough. Either way it looks like I can't order the part ATM anyways. Thanks for the help.

If the D1205757D was printed on the board itself, the D revision letter tells me it is the unloaded board blank. This is the PCB with NO components on it. What you need is the D122 5740 or D122 5741 for the 28ppm model. The d1225741 is merely the updated 5740. If you order the 5740 from Ricoh they will send you the latest part number.

Good information to know, it was a loaded board, I guess they didn't put a new sticker on it after they soldered everything down though. Was just relaying what I saw under the hard drive riser next to the 2d bar code.

Sounds like the D122 5740 had the bad soldering joint issue that was going around in the late aughts early 10s fixed with better flux and solder if they revised it due to temperature and humidity causing issues like I've read in the other dead board threads. Thanks for the added info!
