    [Error Code] MPC 5502 sc362

I had a customer call in with the error code SC 362-1. Which is black TD sensor error. When I got there it said SC 362-4 which is yellow. I looked at the service code history and in a row it goes. SC 362-1, SC 362-2, SC 362-3, SC 362-4, SC 362-1, SC 362-2, SC 362-3, SC 362-4. It goes in order when it pops up. Has anyone ever had this problem. I am going to reload firmware and go from there. Any help would be appreciated.

Toner other than Ricoh brand will cause this. I have seen it in the past on other Ricoh models.

ImagePress C6000 is not Ricoh. Try starting a thread in Konica Minolta.

Good idea! I would Point to the PCDU after checking for outdated firmware. Something is causing a TD sensor error so check your VREF values and monitor them. Could be possible damage to the unit. Or could definitely be a non-genuine toner.

Has a pcu or pcus part been swapped last time? Specialy the B2242042 pcu? I would do as last action before swapping parts a SP3-902-001,002,003,004 -> 1 -> # -> machine restart. Check if the units are installed correctly.
And have a look the itb unit and check if the black grounding wire inside firmly screwed.

Went back and installed new eeprom on BCU. That did not work. I did notice one thing while I was there is the data light blinks once and then stays on for about 30 seconds and goes off and no print job comes out. I called and talked with Hytec again and he told me to try the IO board next. It can run several hundred copies before an sc362-1,2,3 or 4 pops up. It seems to only do it with print jobs. I can never get it to do it running copies. But that could just be a coincidence. I have not replaced any of the developer units. I cant believe all 4 went out at once. I have replaced the black PCU before. That was a few months ago. I will update after I change the IO and controller board. I will also check the ground on the itb unit.

Sc 362 is a toner density sensor (vt low) error. The - number indicates the color. Where I have seen this most often is if I left the development unit disconnected when replacing a drum unit. If you have been using D029 black drum units, have the 2 wires been swapped? If not you could get an error. See attached cheat sheet.
