    af 2022

paper jam when paper just exits(It exits about 1cmm and stop). Also some times double feed occurs. It happens when using both paper cassetes. The green gear that we define which size of paper is in use is ok. I suspect main motor.
    Any idea?

Double feed from both trays? What's the condition of the friction pads in these?

Is there any visible damage to the paper when misfeed occurs?

For double feed, check the separation pads. For fuser jam, check pressure roller.

Often a jam just as the paper starts to exit trail edge jam from incorrect paper size. Check the jam code in SP mode. Do not use the the SCM log data print out as it does not show the paper size code. Just because the paper size dial is in the correct position does not mean that the size switch is functioning correctly.

Peper stops just as paper exits . I know that usually this happens when wrong paper is at paper cassete.
            It doesn't happens here.
I have noticed that this kind of paper jam happens also when there is a main motor mulfunction.

If the main motor stops there is an error code displayed.

Is the registration on jammed copy on ponit?
I never had a motor fail on any of these series.
The fuser units need to be clean, entry guide plate, fingers,cl roller and
as stated b4 check the pressure roller for flat spots.
Did you try running a copy via bypass

I have never had a main motor failure, many of these out there.

Stick to the basics, Pick up tire, sep pads, clean reg sensor, check the paper tray sensors on the back of machine frame ( easy to miss an out of position sensor)
