    light copies

Copies (and printings ) from MP 2501 are light. Drum and developer are new (about 2k copies) . |Is there any way to
    make them darker?

First try converting the black colour to cyan color.
Is this also to light? Then it is not the black PCDU...

            What is the total counter?
Is the grounding plate in contact with the paper transfer roller discharge?

I had the same problem, had to use an OEM drum. Compatible will not give good density for whatever reason.

Saw a previous thread advising to also use Type 28 developer on these.

is it OEM Toner and drum?

there are adjustment procedures to darken in the manual... but I would CLEAN the machine before making ANY adjustments

Toner , drum and developer OEM. I eecuted forced toner and image was the same. I believe it's the voltage that attracts toner to paper . Can anybody remind to me which is this voltage.

The term OEM is absolutely no way to be guaranteed of quality. If it is not Genuine Ricoh, it is not guaranteed by Ricoh to perform correctly in Ricoh machines.

Doing a forced toning does not guarantee that toner is added. If Vt does not change, fresh toner is not entering the developer. A common problem with OEM toner is bottle length being too short. Confirm that the bottle is actually turning. Check that nothing is obstructing the toner path from the bottle to the development unit.

you can always manually spike the dev unit with toner, make a funnel and pour 1 tsp in the opening and then run a few blank sheets .
AFTER 10 sheets you should see the toner has made it to the mag roller..
i ve played with the bias and charge on these b/w units but i stopped selling them...my lungs thank me

I have had machines with the passage in the pcu clogged with toner to where the toner will not pour through.
