Here's on odd one by me. Recently, I had a customer change their network infrastructure which I know is the root cause of this issue, but I have yet to glean a solution out of it. This C2503 will connect to the wireless network properly and the signal strength is good as expected since it's right across from the wireless router. Scans happily pass through the machine to people's emails without issue as well. However, when any printing is done it passes through the print queue on all their workstations and then the machine does nothing. Nothing gets passed to the machine. I have ensured that the MFP is properly configured on every workstation and have tried three different driver types and still nothing. One would think that if, for instance, the wireless router was a different 802.11 standard such as AC which is outside the wireless option's capabilities that it would receive no signal and none of the workstations would be even able to detect anything was there when you configured the workstation to use a printer on that TCP/IP port. Occam's Razor tells me I'm missing something, but I just don't understand what.

Re: C2503 w/ Wireless Option - No Printing
To answer the questions that have been asked.
I can ping the printer from all the workstations.
The job passes through the queue on all the workstations but never appears at all on the machine.Comment

Re: C2503 w/ Wireless Option - No Printing
This sounds like a fire wall problem. Was part of the network infrastructure change adding a network security package such as McAfee? I have seen this with McAfee immediately after after installing their software fire wall. The first time a print job is sent the firewall will will pop up a message asking whether or not to allow it. If the the user fails to read the message before clicking to block, they block all IP printing from that workstation. This will also happen if there is no one at the workstation to see the firewall message and it times out and blocks. An example is a server.
Do all the workstations print directly to the C2503 or do they print through a server or are shared print queue?

Re: C2503 w/ Wireless Option - No Printing
You can get a ping response and the scan to email is working.
So that indicates that there is wireless connectivity via the router.
I assume that you can also get to the Web Image Monitor from a PC?
- Is DIPRINT enabled?
- Are there any printer errors being logged in the Classic Printer mode?
- Has print job authentication been enabled?
- Has the access range control been enabled?
- Is there a firewall enabled on the wireless router? (may need to create a inbound TCP port 9100 forwarding rule).
- Knowledge not shared, is eventually knowledge that becomes lost... like tears in the rain.

Re: C2503 w/ Wireless Option - No Printing
Go into user tools and "Restore IEEE defaults". Had a customer that moved from one building to another, running on a wireless network, and I spent a couple afternoons there doing everything I could think of, and finally another tech told me over the phone to hit that "restore" in user tools "just to see what happens", and WOOFTA, Machine functioned normally after that.OmertÃComment

I bet this is it. Dollars to donuts they have the same security software running on all workstations with an identical profile. It's been difficult to extract anything useful since they have no idea. They don't even have an IT dept. The cable company set up all their equipment and they just sort of go along with whatever they say.Comment
