816 with skewed image. (Prints and Copies)

    Hey troops,

I have an 816 that is skewing the image on the page... Both printing and copies. Going back to replace feed/sep ccomponents, but are there any other little quirks to check?

(Cassette side and rear guides already in place)

    Thanks in advance,

Check the right door assembly and see if it is closed flush on the front side. The plastic latch assembly warps over time and it will stick out just a bit. you can check to see if it squares up by pushing on the cover at the latch and then making a copy. The hinge holder on the main door also breaks over time giving the same symptom. I got tired of replacing them due to the cost of the door on such an older model. Here is some photos of a zip tie fix I do that works quite well.

Did you check the Static Teeth on the Transfer Roller Assembly? (Little metal "saw teeth"), Sometimes those can get bent and obstruct the paper path.

Check the pressure springs for the registration roller.
