its either of BICU or Controller Board is defective.

Please remove the controller board and reseat all the connections on the boards. If there is a hard drive format it and run scan disk. Also make sure that ALL FIRMWARE is up to date.

By the way, are you sure its Sc642? Maybe you meant 672.

If it's not too much to ask, consider reading the post immediately above yours!

..also FYI, he PM'd me due to some strange account limitations that won't allow him to respond here saying that it IS the right code, and he's aware that there is no documentation about it, which is the frustrating part, but if I understand correctly he tried the controller in another machine and got the same result, so it seems like imaginemoko deserves some props!

From TSRC Service look up(general, not specific to MP 3351)
SC642 Communication timeout error between controller and operation panel

Check the connection path. Controller to IPU and IPU to operation panel. Look for damaged cables or bent or broken pin(s) in the connector on the board. Might also be a cold solder joint.
