hello and good day. I am looking for the definitive guide and steps for fixing white lines in copies and print jobs. I have tried cleaning the mag rollers with a piece of paper, but I can get these lines to go away

Thank you, sir, I will try both.
Has this happened to anyone, I clean the mag roller with the paper trick and the white lines on the copies move and appear on the paper at a different location?Comment

We see this a lot on off lease machines that have been sitting around doing nothing for awhile, there are toner chunks that causes the developer to ball up and cause blockage at the doctor blade. If you remove the DV unit from the drum housing you should see it. I have dumped the developer out and tried to pick out the chunks but 99% of the time comes back. Best bet is to change out the developer unit with a new one.Comment

Moving the chips to the side will not fix it.
i take an old newspaper and lay it out in a quiet part of the office and dump the dev unit
onto it.
I then vacuum any of the nasty bits still in there, should be very nominal.
I take a few pieces of 11by17 paper and a plastic flour sieve and gently
drop my dev onto it..and sift out the clean onto the paper.
I would check all filters and fans to make sure machine is not
running too hot..
If YOU COULD ADJUST VENTILATION FANS TO STAY ON LONGER THAT CAN HELP WITH
future issue,machine must breathe..Comment

Re: mp c4503 white lines in copies, print jobs
I want to thank you all for these suggestions, you have all been so helpful. There was a stubborn white line I could not get rid of no matter how much I cleaned the roller, tried developer, etc, etc. I could get rid of the other white lines, but this one just would not go away. I went into SP mode 3701 and reset the PCU aand dev unit (option 1 then # key) and it got rid of that last white line that would not go away.
This was my first thread but I have been a lurker here for a couple months and have learned so much from you guys, I appreciate all the answers you have written up here. Thank you.Comment

Yep. Changing the dev unit is the only fix. And make sure ventilation is at max. Too much heat or extended sitting in high humidity and/or temp environment will make developer clump up. Sent from my VS987 using TapatalkComment
