Have a client with a MP 2550 (Fax, Print and Scan), has been set up for years scan to email.
Had a storm last week, printing works fine, but the scan function has "disappeared".
Email destinations are still on the Ricoh, but when accessing the WIM, the address book does not have a folder or email column.
As well, there is no place to input folder or emails on the WIM. Under the configuration, No email (file transfer info) tab.
On the Ricoh itself, the file transfer field is non existent - blank
Has a flashing, "sc 873...Email sending error" across the lower screen. But all other functions (copy, fax and print) work fine.
It has "lost" the scan option.
I removed and re-seated the controller, still no good.
I'll be returning today to client......Will a memory clear on the scanner help ? Any ideas....
I do have firmware.
Thanks
I'd try doing the specified Sp first. Then if that doesn't work backup the address book and do a total HDD format. Don't forget to redownload the stamp data afterwards.
If that doesn't work the HDD may be toast. Worthwhile to bring another drive with you. The original is an 80gb 2.5in sata drive, but I imagine anything up to 320gb or possibly more would work, you'd just get no benefit from the extra capacity.
