I had an IT idiot delete device certificate. He said he was setting up a scan to FTP off a youtube video. The problem is I can't log into it via web to create another certificate. I try SP 5801-17 with no luck. Any ideas. Thank in advance Mongo

Re: MP 201 Device Certificate
Sounds more like he tried to create a device. If he uses YouTube as a source for how to do something, he is not an IT. It mongo's suggestion doesn't work, try SP 5801-011 MCS reset. You will need to enter IP settings as it will also clear them. You should also charge the customer since the problem was caused by their IT.Comment

Re: MP 201 Device Certificate
I'm with Tim. He created a certificate.
I can't say for sure if this applies to the MP201, but on newer machines, this has resolved it for me:
To remove certificate via SP Mode:
(Common Key Info Writing)
SP5870-003 (Initialize)
Execute
Reboot MFPComment

Re: MP 201 Device Certificate
Thanks for the suggestion I'm going back tomorrow around lunch time. Ill try the suggestion, and its going to be charge ticket written. This guy is a third party vendor, I gave them two good IT guys that could take over the network. This is not the first problem he had there.Comment

Re: MP 201 Device Certificate
Thanks guys! Used the user tool SSl to gain access to the web interface. He did delete certificate 1 which switch the machine to certificate 2. Once I recreated the certificate its works fine. They going to find another IT guy after he pays the invoice I left. Thanks Again! MongoComment
