    Is a savin 8025 e hardrive and connector the same as a ricoh aficio 2027?

    hi
    I havent touched these models in quite some time but am trying to
    donate a working2027 from a law firm that i pulled the hd a long time ago with the connector/harness.
    I cant locate it but am replacing a savin 8025 e and might be able to pull that one..
    as i remember they were laptop IDE drives.
    I dont remember what the connector looks like.

      Hey Andy, I just had a look at my old Service manuals, and was reminded that the AF2027, etc. had the controller board that you had to access from the rear of the machine whereas MP2510 (Savin 8025), etc. had the controller that slides out the side so the brackets and connectors are a bit different, but the older AF2027 just used a short IDE cable without the need for the additional ac power connector, so knowing you, you can probably rig up something to hold the HDD in place well enough, and I'd expect the IDE connector from the 8025 to work ok.
      Oh, and yes, they're 2.5" drives. (I think the 2027 was a measly 40Gb)

          thanks..
          i couldnt find my old manuals on these..
          i use to rebuild laptops and service them so i still have a bunch of drives in hand.
          Any good concerts now or later?
          i got Chicago and reo speedwagon friday at the beach.
          had tickets for bill joels 100th concert at the garden but sold them due to wife having surgery..
          BRUCE was his special guest that nite

                  Nah, unfortunately nothing coming up, but next week home to Nova Scotia for a break, and lots of golf.

                      Nova Scotia great part of the world..
                      I stopped on a cruise out of nyc many years back..
                      Would love to trailer my boat up there and spend a month fishing.Thanks on the wife side,she is doing fine and nothing
