Scan with a Aficio 4506 with the 210?

Per the SMPPG that I have, "With the addition of the optional Phenom Pro E-310/Phenom Office RC-210 Raster Image Processor (RIP), the 5625/5631 will have the additional functionality of color printing and color scanning (scanning at 600dpi)."

So it would appear that you should be able to scan with the 210. The 5625/5631 is the Lanier model of the B017, which is what you have (Aficio 4506).
