Help please! Turning on hard keys

I'm installing an MP5054 and hoping you guys/gals can save me some time. Where do I find the setting to turn on the hard switches for (on the left side of op panel)copier, scanner, fax, etc. The customer is used to changing modes the old way instead of the touchscreen. Thanks in advance!

If they have the SOP the switches on the left hand side of the screen are not for customer use. The best thing you can do is add shortcuts at the top of the screen through the screen settings menu.

I can't remember the exact name of the tab, but it's pretty obvious if you had simply looked for it under UT/ System settings.
I believe it's "assign function..." or something like that

No problem. I made myself look like an idiot looking for the option to change button functionality on an MP 4001 just for you.

I'm at customer office now and unfortunately the function key allocation button is no where to be found on this MP5054. I found this on a MPc5502 and MPc6003 with no problem. ?????

If they have the SOP, have you tried installing the SOP Designer software on your laptop and using it to configure the SOP.

No SOP. BUT, I did remove because customer did not want it. I did change it in sp5 mode .Did I miss something when exchanging?

Did you load the normal panel firmware? SP settings, firmware and panel itself need to be exchanged in a specific order.
