    mpc3003 with sc 724-70

hi i just picked up a mpc3003 wth an "internal sorter sr3130" that must have been in a dusty warehouse as it s pretty dirty.
When i do a print test it makes the lead edge 2 inches out of the fuser and jams.
after clearing jam and restting a phantom sorter jam it goes to sc 724-70."

Shift Tray Ascent/Descent Motor Error (Internal finisher)

elapses, the paper surface sensor does not switch OFF (1st time is
jam notification, 2nd time is SC notification).

I really didnt get to pull it apart but did blow out the sorter and tried a few times wth same result.
IF i run it wth sorter disconnected it passes paper..
I saw some post wth these sorter having a bad harness.
    anyone see this?
    thanks

    Re: mpc3003 with sc 724-70

i just got done pulling all covers off this mini sorter and found a lot of dirt and dust which i blew out 1st and then a lite spray of windex on sensors and
hit all sensors with compressor.Even the mechanical sensors flags were dirty and i had to q tip them clean by hand after pulling all covers.
i ALSO FOUND ON lower right side of sorter brd a small connectors that had a wire pinched up where it goes inside of unit"wth the small power connector on lower right of brd.
I removed it and taped it before re installing and connecting it back to brd.
Now sorter works and as i only had one other i sold 4 months back I feel able to
troubleshoot these min sorters..There are a lot of motors to these units...
It WAS JUST ODD never getting past 2 inches of fuser unit wth sorter never even turning on..
