    SPC840dn PCDU mods

    Hey guys,
We have a bit of an issue where we have a crap load of D2442204 (or D239) PCDU on back order for the MPC2004/2504 machines.
The Service manager at Ricoh has suggested that we use the 408034 and 408035 maintenance kits.
Yes...I can hear you all typing "Why are Ricoh recommending the use of maintenance kits in a copier model" ..we though the same.
Has anybody here used the maintenance kit at all?
Any mods to be done?...I assume it'll need the TD sensor swapped over.
Also...in the TPRD for the SPC840dn there are TWO different Maintenance kits.
One is a User replaceable version with a 60k pm cycle and the other is a Service Maintenance model and rated at 200k.
    Any advice is appreciated

Correct - you need to swap the Toner density sensor and the front cover won't fit without cutting away some plastic or leave it away. You also should use manual new unit set SP for initializing the new unit properly.
