    Ricoh MP c8002 6502 and Pro c5100

    Hiya.

I have an issue that started on a pro c5100 in thick 2 mode which I told the customer to use thick 3 until I sort it but they never badgered me so I never worried about it.

I now have the same same problem on a MP c8002 but in any paper thickness mode so I cant bypass it.

The problem is that band appears on the page across the page, opposite way of print direction and it’s quite thick and non consistent but is the same diameter as say the dev roller. The band is like someone has touched the paper transfer roller onto the paper when it has Toner in it. Sounds vague but I will try and post a picture later. It seems to be black on both machines. I have changed the dev unit and paper transfer roller oh and the transfer belt and still no good but it’s only on the back of the sheet it seems when duplexing on all machines.

Many ideas before I go bonkers.

    Hope all is well.

    Tim.

    WELL...
    1) print or copy mode ? BOTH?
    2) what paper setup? LEF or SEF?
    3) get exact MM gap of defect and get back.. OR look in the manual!
    4) life on consumables?

I have had strange sues when the bearings on the "ROLLER OPPOSED" had collapsed, this is the roller that sits behind the transfer belt and comes into contact with the transfer roller, have a look at them.
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential
