I don't do a lot of work on Ricoh's but I've got this one out in the field. My issue is when duplexing the machine gets about an inch out of the fuser when entering the bridge then jams (J024 code) I pulled the exit assembly from a very low meter parts machine and installed it with same results. Machine will run all day on simplex. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Ricoh MPC5501
J024 is a Junction Gate Sensor. I would suspect maybe the junction gate is "cracked" from heat from the fuser, and allows those teeth on the shaft to move or fall off. Or maybe the "arm" on one of those guides (that the solenoid engages with) may be broke or missing.Attached FilesOmertÃComment

Re: Ricoh MPC5501
Replace D029 4580.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.Comment
